In a decision that proves everyone can make their dreams come true in America, the RIAA actually won a case after failed attempts to sue the elderly and deceased. The jury awarded the RIAA $222,000 for the sharing of 24 songs on Kazaa, or roughly 10,000 times the CDs’ retail price and a bazillion times more than what they cost the record company. Way to go Minnesota, keep the dream alive.
After seven years gone (according to Myspace, it seems both longer ago than that and not that long ago at all to me - does that shit ever happen to you?), BTL is back, apparently, with a new song you can check out here. The track will be on an upcoming self-titled EP on Words of War records, you can check their website for further info and lots of bands with distressed logos. Their comeback show will be at the Che at the beginning of next month, and hopefully there will be more to follow.

Thus making it hard to die outside a show? At a venue Google says doesn’t exist? And if the hospitals are so bad in Jersey that the ambulance took him to Baltimore, I’d reconsider ever playing there.

We’re hitting HCM’s ninth fucking year this week. And I think it’s at least the third year since an actual content update. I figured I might as well at LEAST install some familiar blog software and post some updates this way. I’m not sure they’ll have much content about actual hardcore music, but I can guarantee I’ll at least listen to some while posting drunkenly about bikes and rain or whatever.
